Based in Nigdjezemska, an autonomous space in Zadar, Mižerija is a young anarcho-punk band with a strong pop sensibility. On first listen, the band evokes certain early Boye demos mixed with melancholic vibes and catchy influences in the vein of UK anarcho-punk and the Yugoslav new wave scene. Their music is charged with a strong punk attitude and additionally boosted by a breeze of contemporary dark pop freshness. Their debut offering S/T, which came out in 2022, is defined by a strong anti-authoritarian vibe with a dash of ecology and romanticism.
