Czech collective Fotbal fuses post-punk energy with elements of krautrock, math rock and psychedelia. In 2023, the tight four-piece consolidated their reputation as one of Europe’s most authentic musical acts at the moment with their two elaborate releases Moon Landing Revival and Why Is This Happening To You?, as well as with their impressive performances. The band’s rhythm section provides a hypnotic, novel and surprising foundation that’s complemented with complex guitar lines and oddly captivating synthesizer sounds.
