Avalanche Kaito invites you into their expansive universe where the oral traditions of the West African griot converge with Belgian post-punk. In 2021, urban griot and multi-instrumentalist Kaito Winse joined forces with Brussels noise punk musicians from the group Le Jour du Seigneur to create a unique musical blend. In their explosive songs, you can hear traces of post-punk as well tribal, free jazz, prog, industrial and electronic elements. Their eclectic influences echo disparate, yet strangely compatible strands, from griot traditions, Fugazi and Can to 70s era Zappa, Black Midi and the Nyege Nyege Tapes roster.
