Slovenian delegation and the band Koala Voice heading to Slovakian showcase festival Sharpe

On 26 and 27 April, the Slovakian showcase festival Sharpe will take place in Bratislava for the second time. The event at the Nová Cvernovka former factory will feature 36 acts from twelve countries over two days. Half of the acts are Slovakian, while the foreign ones include Slovenian quartet Koala Voice (INES#talent), who have performed at numerous European festivals and clubs in recent years and released their third album “Woo Horsie” in February.

A delegation of Slovenian music stakeholders is also heading to Sharpe – representatives of the bands Container Doxa, Futurski, Wckd Nation, Lynch and Spotless Minds, Moonlee Records, the Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture, club Channel Zero and radios Prvi and Študent.

In addition to representatives of the biggest Slovakian festival Pohoda, the Macedonian Password Production agency, the ATC Live and Radicalis concert agencies, the Swiss festival One of a Million and the Drowned in Sound, The Quietus, IQ Magazine and Louder Than War music media, the conference will feature no fewer than three Slovenians. Oskar Štrajn will represent the Dutch showcase festival ESNS, Maša Pavoković, the manager of Magnifico and Koala Voice, will represent the MashupMash agency, and Andraž Kajzer, the artistic director of MENT, will represent MENT.

The Slovenian delegation is organised under the new Music Slovenia brand by MENT Ljubljana (Kino Šiška) and SIGIC. You can find out more about Sharpe’s programme on the website and in the Facebook event.
