The mission of this adventurous prodigy is to explore and develop the sound of modern pop music. His musical background in metal is the foundation upon which he has forged his eccentric aesthetic. Zouj's songs create a unique sonic world that sometimes almost feels menacing, but which is simultaneously also very dance-oriented – dystopian sounds that fit equally in with glitchy video games and adult cartoons as well as club dancefloors. His second mixtape Metal was recently released on City Slang, featuring a single with Slovenian singer and musician Sahareya, who is also a member of Zouj's band.
