Members of Nesen come from various, even contrasting musical backgrounds – Alise Joste (vocals, keys) is an accomplished singer-songwriter known for her gentle and ethereal vocals, Karlis Josts (vocals, synths) and Aleksis Lurins (bass) have been members of various local indie and alternative bands, and Janis Burmeisters (drums) is actively involved in the Latvian underground metal scene. These diverse experiences translate into a distinctive sound: lyrical and melodic songwriting against a loud and heavy backdrop of dense synth-driven arrangements.
