DayKoda (Italy)

JAZZ / ELECTRONIC / DOWNTEMPO

"... [A] meticulous beat-work that unravels through the jungle, steady and rhythmic with its

shred light drums and jaunty samples."

Music Is My Sanctuary

Due to his eccentric approach to music-making and focus on experimental electronic production, especially its contamination with abstract genre elements, DayKoda is able to craft off-kilter expressions coloured by warm textures and twinkling drums that move through hazy downtempo and nu-jazz sonics. His music is inspired by the likes of Kamaal Williams, Ezra Collective and Nosaj Thing. He has received support by national and international media, such as BBC Radio 6, Brownswood and KCRW, and the Italian webzine Soundwall even named him 'the Italian Flying Lotus'.
