MENT Ljubljana is


a three-day showcase festival of artists from all of Europe and beyond, during which around 70 acts perform at different venues in Ljubljana. The international conference focuses on the music industry and creativity.


The fifth MENT, which took place in Ljubljana from 30th January to 1st February hosted 75 acts from 27 countries having performed in packed venues. In three days, the total number of all visitors amounted to more than 5,000, including 583 registered music professionals from 37 countries.

Our focus are the regional and Eastern European scenes, though we host acts from all over Europe, and the same goes for professionals. There’s a significant attendance by professionals from the ex-Yu region – mostly from Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia and the neighbouring countries (Austria, Hungary, Italy).

MENT Platform


As a platform, MENT supports and promotes Slovenian acts and authors abroad, doing so as part of INES (the Innovation Network of Showcase Festivals), which includes 18 European festivals, as well as through cooperation with other events and individual venues, for example Tallinn Music Week (Estonia), ESNS (Netherlands) and Pin Conference (North Macedonia). Within the framework of the MENT platform activities, 41 Slovenian acts have performed a total of 141 times at various foreign festivals and venues in 16 different countries since 2014


In cooperation with SIGIC (the Slovenian Music Information Centre), MENT has been organising lectures and workshops about the music business, titled fundaMENT, since 2014. They feature local and foreign music professionals sharing knowledge with the audience. So far, 20 lectures and workshops have been held as part of the fundaMENT series.
